I've been reading Delta Delta Delta: a history 1888-1988, because I'm a super nerd, and it said that (in 1988) the average Tri Delta chapter had just over a hundred members, and that only six of our chapters had less than 40. I imagine the numbers are a little bit smaller now.
But those are only for Tri Delta, not for sororities in general.
