I don't think it's upside down - I think they're lying on a bed, feet in the air, heads hanging over the side of the bed. If you look in the background, there's an archway that most definitely is right-side up.
As for the tridelta flip-flops, "tridelta" is supposed to be backwards. The idea is when you walk on the sand, your sorority's nickname will be "stamped" on the beach. It wouldn't work if the words were written frontwards.
Personally, I'm not a Greek 101 fan (no SAI stuff) but I think the banner's ok.
