I checked out the JMU Fraternity and Sorority website, and this is what I got out of it:
- signups for Recruitment are on August 27-31 and if you are interested in rushing, then it's mandatory to sign up at this time as they don't accept late ones.
- keep in mind that payment is also due at that time
- the website also stated that recs aren't required to go through recruitment. Even if it's not required, it's great to have at least one for each sorority so that the sisters can keep an eye out for you!
- you have 8 Panhellenic sororities on your campus, so try and check their national website if they have a listing of alumnae in your area that may be able to help you in gaining a rec.
As far as other good recruitment sites, I really can't think of any other ones right now...mainly it's because I spend all my time here. GC is a fabulous reference tool especially at this time of the year, and I hope the previous Rush posts can be of some help to you!
