Because one altered screen shot is the one being leaked to the media for damage control and is being distributed. We have no idea where these subsequent screen shots came from. We have no idea if they have been altered from a program with sketchy security issues to begin with. As someone who works with teenage girls, social media and photoshop in my line of work, you would be hard pressed to convince me otherwise.

You are assuming that an altered screenshot was leaked to the media for damage control?

I would hope that Chi O nationals and the university have the original post/photo from snapchat, as well as information from snapchat regarding the account in question. Otherwise, they would seemingly be operating on little more than we are at this point.

And I can't imagine how either entity accomplished confirming and gathering this evidence from communication with snapchat, not to mention conducting the questioning and remainder of the investigation in one day. A Sunday.

If they didn't gather this evidence, and didn't investigate thoroughly before ruining a reputation, they may have another kind of problem.
