Honestly I don't buy that a Chi O active would be so stupid and cruel as to post this. Even setting decency aside, she would know that severe repercussions from her sisters, nationals, and the university would follow.
I wonder if the girl, without any logical explanation for the offensive word (knowing she didn't type it), assumed it must have been auto-correct.
I hope that Chi O's "swift discipline" was not so swift that it shortchanged a thorough investigation in a rush for a PR save. That goes for the university, too.
So a question (from Pollyanna) for you lawyers out there: Would either (or both) Chi O and the university have some liability in their rush to judgment/action if the girl blamed was somehow cleared?
