Ummmmm, no. Given that there are thousands of threads here, I wouldn't be surprised you found "several" where the the conversation stays organization specific. I wouldn't be surprised if you found hundreds. I said pretty clearly that such conversations happen here. Doesn't change the overall dynamic I described. At all.

I don't accept explanations like, 'everyone's doing it,' 'that's how it's done here,' 'that's the dynamic of this site,' etc.

So you normally come into places where you're new and start telling everyone how they're doing it all wrong? I bet that goes over everywhere else about as well as it does here.

I get what you're saying, but I've heard all those in defense to stuff like hazing too. It doesn't make it the right answer.

Huh??? How conversations typically happen on a website is comparable to hazing?? That's just stupid.

And, point of information. Even now no one has challenged my premise that west coast greek systems suck. I have only been cited specific exceptions and told not to make broad statements. No one has actually attempted to defend west coast greek systems versus other regions.

They have, by saying "speak for you you org only." Yes, we all know that you've made clear since you were speaking for your org only. But you've also continued to say everyone else is way off base for ever possibly thinking otherwise because . . . duh . . . this thread is in the ATO forum, and if the usual way of doing things here makes that somewhat irrelevant, well obviously we're all doing it wrong and you're here to teach us better. Do you really still not get that the issue people have been having with what you've posted?

Not only that, I think he's completely wrong when he says people were having a conversation "intended for a limited audience." Everyone's quite aware that everyone can read everything they say, and if not, they're made aware. The only other person I remember bitching about this was GammaZeta (but then, he pretty much bitched about everything - sorry if you're reading dude, but truth).

Just because you CAN see something and have the physical ability to comment on it doesn't mean you SHOULD. Just because I say something you CAN see doesn't mean you are my intended audience. Is it possible to have a discussion in public without everyone that walks by deciding to bust in?

I didn't come on here to try everyone else how to act. I came to discuss serious topics. I've apologized for any offense. I've tried to clarify my position. Now I'm just asking you to get off my back and get over it.

I continue to believe org areas should NOT be treated exactly the same as the many general areas. I don't care how things how they've been treated in the past. I don't care why some people feel they are irrelevant. I haven't changed my view. So, I'm not going to apologize for being wrong, when I don't, and will not, feel that I am about this. You can change your view to agree with me, or we can agree to disagree, but I will not change my mind about this, period.

I've apologized for any offense anyone may have taken by misunderstanding of my comments on the basis of our not seeing eye to eye on the sub-category issue. I've done that sincerely and repeatedly. You can accept it or not, but I'm tired of repeating myself.
