my chapter does not do bigs and little, we stick solely to sister-moms and sister-daughters (we're such a small chapter thats why). i've noticed throughout reading many different threads that PNM's and their families say things like "she can already see this girl being her big," which sounds like the PNM-turned-NM gets to Chose her big. also, when FSUZeta talked about her daughter getting twins, that caught my eye too.
just curious how it works that the NM gets to pick her Big? i would think it would be more special for the NM to be surprised by who her Big is lol

The sister-mother/sister-daughter terminology is unique to Alpha Gamma Delta and doesn't have anything to do with your chapter size
It is the same concept, just different terminology. I had twins myself one term, because we were a tiny chapter and took more new members than we had members. Each sorority does the matching of bigs/littles in different ways.
