There were a few small mistakes but she was still phenomenal.
Even though I didn't want Nagasu to go above, I don't think she deserved such a low score when her program was clean. And why the heck was Rachael Flatt in 7th place?? Oh well.

I felt the same way - loved seeing her blow a kiss to the sky! I was actively cheering her on.
Rachel Flatt had the bad luck of the draw by being first to skate, too. The first one is always the hardest scrutinized & scored. She's young, though, so look out, 2014!

I was thrilled to see Joannie get up on that podium so I guess I'm another bad American. Naw, she deserved it. The American skaters have plenty of time for medals in the future.

Yea, I thought it to be a bit too much for the Olympics. I get it. You won. You're excited. But why can't the alcohol and cigars be saved for the locker room?
And apparently one of them tried to drive the Zamboni around

That's actually kinda funny. I mean, who doesn't love a Zamboni?

I think the IOC has a stick up their butt..lol. They were excited, the medal ceremony was over and the fans were gone. So, they drank and smoked cigars on the ice, big deal. There are far worse things that they could have done.
In short, I feel like this guy does: http://winterolympics.si.com/2010/02...d-medal-party/

I don't think it would be a big deal if they weren't women.

Ok, that's a different story. I was thinking they were still there.

But I think it WOULD be a big deal (even bigger than it is) if the Americans did this (if they won).
But ya never know.
I guess we'll have to see what happens when the US beats Canada on Sunday

I think I read it was about two hours after. So fans were gone, but apparently reporters and photogs were still hanging out.

This may be true, especially considering the difference in the nations' legal drinking ages.

I'm interested to see what happens here. I have to be honest, the only reason we beat Canada was the strength of Miller as a goalie vs. Brodeur, because we were outplayed and outshot. It'll be interesting to see if Luongo can hold up to the pressure

I quite like this video:
"Tom Brokaw Explains Canada To Americans"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrA4V6YF6SA
I don't like the title itself, but I do think that the video itself is very succinct about the relationship between Canada and USA. After all, Canada needs USA and USA needs Canada.

Congrats to Team Canada (coached by Mike Babcock, head coach of the Red Wings, I must point out). I've never liked Crosby.. as a Wings fan, we kinda love to hate him. Great hockey game. I can't be too upset, both teams are great. SUPER impressed with Michigan State's Ryan Miller (whose brother is a Red Wing, I might add).
And here I thought I'd never be able to watch hockey again..lol. I was wrong, thankfully One can still be a hockey fan even when trying to forget about a Hockey Dad!

I realized this weekend that I can't watch Cross Country Skiing while lying on the couch. Instant nap!

Apparently, if you want your son to play for the USA Olympic hockey team, name him Ryan. Weren't there like 4 or 5 Ryans? Lol
I'm really glad I watched the OT. Crazy!

Haha! My FB status right now is "wondering how many Ryans were on Team USA? 4? 5? I lost count"
