Winter Olympics: Torino 2006

opening ceremonies starts in 18 days!

i will be looking forward to the opening ceremonies, hockey, skeleton, snowboarding, bobsleigh, and skiing.

why are there only 15 sports?

they need to add ice climbing, broomball, snow dodge ball, and the polar bear plunge swimming/diving.

I'm all about the figure skating and opening/closing ceremonies. Then there's hockey, snowboarding and weird ski jumping stuff. Heck, who am I kidding? I'll watch every minute possible during the Olympics, and probably DVR the stuff I can't actually watch.

DH had better be prepared to lose his HDTV during the Games!

Whenever I see the "Torino 2006", I momentarily think that it says "Toronto 2006".

When I see "Torino 2006", I think of Tom Earp in a powder blue suit with a big collar crusin to his fraternity formal in a 1960 Gran Torino.

I LOVE the Olympics...any kind!! I cannot wait for these games to start. I like ice skating, snowboarding, and speed skating. Plus, my college roomates, my husband, and I have a tradition to play a drinking game during any Olympic opening ceremonies. Everytime a country is named we take a shot...don't know if I will get through it though.

Please be careful. Drinking yourself to death is not an Olympic Sport.

Speaking of the Opening Ceremony -- a couple of my pals -- Bucky Gunts and Ron DeMoraes -- won best live director EMMYs for the last Opening Ceremonies. Talk about an abudance of great pictures!

i've decided i will attend the 2010 winter olympics in vancouver and the 2012 summer olympics in london.

the 2008 summer games in beijing are just not feasible at the moment.

that is all.
