Haha, DS, I'm actually stunned - I did not see that coming. Whoa.

Also, I hate to pull the Popeye, but apparently I am what I am. Unreal.

The music here to the "outro" is a little overwrought, but I don't blame them - I'd bask/revel and let the crowd go apeshit too, I guess. Seriously, Obama's win wasn't because McCain sucked or he picked a bad VP or because he ran a negative campaign - those were all the result of Obama's campaign. He won because he motivated the electorate like no one since maybe JFK - it's really a phenomenon, and it'll be interesting to see whether the outgoing results agree with the fervor coming in. It's definitely an exciting and bizarre time for Americans.

it's going to be studied for years...but don't discount the factors that you mentioned...

I'd slightly disagree with how Obama won, but I don't blame him for taking it all in. If I won the Presidency, I would go for the most melodramatic musical opening available. Soak in the moment - it's not guaranteed to happen again.

He ran a fantastic campaign, and I give a lot of credit to his campaign workers. They kept him as the favorite throughout the election. I cannot wait to see the perspective of the McCain workers, as I think his campaign might go down with the Dukakis campaign as one of the worst in history.
