I'm not sure about that. Pat Buchanan and Donald Rumsfeld's wives are Theta's as well as the co-founder of the Iowa Women's Caucus/1st female to chair the Republican National Committee (Mary Louise Epperson Smith).I could name several others who are Republican as well. U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill is a democrat however.

While the "famous" alums may seemingly be skewed in one direction politically, the membership as a whole is more than likely split evenly (atleast it was in my chapter).

Ok, I feel slightly stupid I don't know the alum from my GLO! I had a gut feeling she was one, but when I went to double check she wasn't list on our notable Thetas list!

I have no idea what is up with the recent trend. I did want to add though that both of the Bush Twins, Barbara and Jenna were Thetas at UT-Austin and Yale.
