Mel B may lose the money she fought so hard to get from Eddie Murphy! According to published reports and her mother, the former Spice Girl is married to a con artist. Stephen Belafonte, a.k.a. Mr. Mel B, is a fake. His real name is Stephen Standsbury. Stephen changed his name to Belafonte because he wanted people to think he was Harry Belafonte’s son. Mel B secretly married Stephen on June 6th, and immediately cut off ties with her mother and close friends. Stephen has quite a past. His last girlfriend was 60-years old, and he used her for her money. He would drive around in her car picking guys and gals. Friends of Stephen describe him as a high school drop out, a scam artist, an animal killer, a liar, and a psycho who wouldn’t pay child support. He has a three-year daughter, and he didn’t want to pay the $350 a month in child support. Sources say Mel made him sign a prenup. Many fear she has made a big mistake, and he’s only with her because she’s about to get Eddie Murphy’s money.
My brother is a bum! Janet Jackson is furious at her brother Jermaine. Jermaine abandoned his third wife and two kids, and now his mother, 74-year old Katherine Jackson, has to pay the child support and provide housing. Alejandra Jackson used to be with Randy Jackson and had two kids by him. Then she left him for Jermaine. Now, Jermaine has dumped her for another woman. Jermaine’s new woman has money, so he could care less. He’s going with the cash. Janet is upset because she pays her mother’s bills, so therefore Jermaine’s ex and kids are being supported by her. Janet can’t believe her brother is standing by and letting his mother handle his business. Janet wants the men in her family to man up, get jobs and stop relying on their mother and family for handouts. There are kids, exes and girlfriends everywhere, and guess who has to pick up the tab? Jonathan Plummer is ready for his close-up. The ex-husband of Terry McMillan and inspiration for the book and movie How Stella Got Her Groove Back is gearing up for the release of his book, Balancing Act. Plummer’s novel comes out September 4th. The book is loosely based on his life about a Jamaican man whose ordinary life is changed forever when he meets a rich, powerful older woman. She brings him into her world. She can’t resist his dark chocolate skin and hazel green eyes. At first, he’s enjoying the money and lavish lifestyle, but then realizes he desires every adorable man he sees, and he has to make a decision.
Boris Kodjoe is coming to Philly! Kodjoe has joined the cast of the stage play Whatever She Wants with Vivica A. Fox and Richard Roundtree. The show kicks off September 11th at the Merriam Theatre.
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown together again? NO! Bobby recently helped his ex celebrate her 44th birthday. The famous exes are connected by their daughter Bobbi Kristina. Despite a rocky relationship, they are still on good terms.

During his heyday, he topped the charts with one hit after another. A nationwide search is on to fill the role. Who will play “Biggie?” There were published reports that Oscar Winner Forest Whitaker was being considered, but he is too old for the role.
More problems with the James Brown estate, but this time it’s not coming from his children. A trustee of the James Brown Estate recently resigned from the board when it was revealed he misspent $350,000. The trustee did return the money, but he still had to resign.
Does P Diddy want Kim back? Kim Porter is opening up about life after Sean “P Diddy” Combs, and she is ready to move on with their kids and start a new. Friends say Diddy is making overtures to Kim to reconcile, but she wants to married and nothing else. She is tired of being taken advantage of by him.
The Ultimate Luther Vandross collection is arriving in stores this October. The 53-song set covers his 25 year musical career and includes some unreleased duets.
Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters says she’s ready to be sober. After 40 years of getting high, the 53-year old singer says her recent stay in rehab will be her last. Bonnie Pointer says the untimely death of her younger sister June was a wake up call to her, and she was tired of the way she was living her life. Bonnie Pointer says she started getting high when she was 13-years old. Despite having cancer, drugs played a major part in the death of June.
It’s another girl for Singer Tamia and the NBA’s Grant Hill. They also have a 5-year old daughter. A spokesperson for the singer says they are thrilled with their new addition, and are settling into their new home in Phoenix, where Grant is playing with the Suns.
Lionel Richie in a sex shop? YES! The soon to be grandfather was shopping for gifts with a lady friend when he was spotted spending up a storm.
D.L. Hughley returns to TV as the new host of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. Hughley also has a show on BET called S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior.
Singer Angie Stone is excited about two new things in her life. Stone has a new album coming out called The Art Of Love & War, and she’s got a new man. Stone met her man at the airport. He was working behind the counter. After an 8 month courtship, the two are engaged. Stone says this is the man for her because God chose him. Stone says she was choosing the wrong men. Stone has had a series of high profile relationships with younger men, including the much talked about Singer D’Angelo. They have a ten-year old son. Now speaking of D’Angelo, he recently pleaded guilty to driving under the influence following a 2005 arrest. D’Angelo almost lost his life back then, but he has since entered rehab and is working on a new album.

This guy wants to be famous and in a way he is. He’s just forgettable. Despite having a famous sister, former superstar girlfriends and a sex tape, he’s still not on the A-list. He tries so hard, but no one cares about his fake celebrity.
This Superstar has no luck with women. They wind up with his money (via divorce and child support) and wind up giving it to men who are scam artists. One wonders what is more upsetting: losing the women or knowing his money is going to trifling men.
