I got an email from the school up the hill from yours...and I'm a <5 year out alumna. They had a school-wide assembly last night and a candlelight vigil tonight.

This is so heartbreaking, you guys. It took me a while to fathom everything...first it was one fatality, then 8, then 21, and finally 32.

I went to Brown, but I did my architecture studios at RISD. In fact, I took my classes at the RISD buildings right across from J&W's main gate. I used to take breaks and get food there.

Brown has always been really good about condolences and that sort of thing. We had so many "community vigils" right after 9/11. My best friend from college passed away a year and a half after graduation, and I believe the president still keeps in contact with her parents.

You mean you voluntarily ate JWU food??? You are the first person I've ever heard say that!

It's nice to know that Brown is good at that kind of stuff, I'm very disappointed by the way JWU is handling this. Last year when an international student passed away they handled it a lot better then this. I don't think just because it was one of our students vs. non students it should make any difference at all.
