If you really have only just begun your new member period like 2-3 weeks ago, you should give it a few weeks. Sometimes it takes a little while for people to warm up to each other. There are girls in my sorority that I didn't initially hang out with at all, that I'm really close to now.

Try to go to as many events as possible so you can get to know not only your pledge class but other girls in the sorority. Remember, you don't have to ONLY hang out with your pledge class. My best friends in my sorority are not from my class.

KSUViolet gave some good advice.

There must be a reason why you picked this sorority. Did you bond with someone during rush? If so, ask her to hang out. You don't have to only hang out with your pledge sisters. We all have our moments when we feel "left out", but most of the time it's just in your head!

Give it some time and serious thought before dropping out. If you do drop, you'll have to wait a year before accepting a bid elsewhere.

I have to also agree with KSUViolet and Phimuteach. Sometimes things can be a little awkward at the beginning of your new member period. Stick it out for a little while longer and see if things get better. More than likely, you'll get to know some Sisters or fellow New Members better and then everything will feel a lot better in the clique category. Every sorority is a little clique-y.

Ditto! My best friends were all Juniors and Seniors when I pledged. You don't have to click with your pledge class immediately, it took me much longer to click with the girls my own age. Talk to someone older who you admire. Good luck.

When is your initiation? If you don't feel like you cliqued and intiation is coming up, I'd drop. It was hard for me to clique and when I finally did, it seem as if it was only temporary. We were all forced to go on alum status and the sisters barely talk to me now...looking back at it, I think I should have dropped to join another sorority.

learn how to differentiate words that sound the same.

"clique"- group of people, often exclusive.
"click"- a noise, or slang for connecting with someone/something.

yay english!
