Yeah, I didn't really
need a 3rd, so the cliff hanger was just unfortunate and disappointing. However, it isn't really the cliff hanger that bothered me, it just seemed that nothing much was accomplished after 2.5 hours. With Lord of the Rings or even Kill Bill each movie accomplished something. Some significant part of the story was told and had advanced. I didn't really feel that with Dead Man's chest. I'm happy with an open ending and a set up for the next film. However over 2 hours of running/sailing around to no avail was not my idea of a good time.
