Exclamation Checking In ...

I missed my regular WW meeting last Sunday (due to a weeklong vacation in Jamaica) so I went on Monday. I was too afraid to look at my book and I asked the receptionist not to tell me. TOM was looming, so I was pretty sure I was up (last year I went up almost 6 lbs.)

The next day I finally looked -- I was up 4.2 lbs. I said to myself, "I need to lose 5.8 -- in six days! -- to make 100."

Soooo ... I got up each morning and did Turbo Jam as though I was going to work, did Curves as well, drank water like a fish and stayed on top of my points. Wednesday I raked leaves for 2 hours and yesterday I shopped for 4 hours.

The results today? Down 6.8! I cannot believe that I have lost 101 pounds with WW (and 113 overall)! I got the magnet today and will have to remember to bring my camera next week when I get my certificate.

Only 7 lbs to Onederland ... Wow!

In other news, I bought some really cute stuff yesterday. I am going to be really hot this winter! Everyone have a great day!

Baby Blue- I am so proud of you! You inspire me! I've lost 15lbs. With the holidays coming, I'm scared that I'm going to gain or maintain. I pray to at least maintain.

You are my inspiration!

Keep up the great work!

@ delph998

the key to the holidays is to have a game plan in place way before dinner is served... so mentally psych yourself up for what you will eat, portion size, etc... don't deprive yourself but do try not to overindulge... and try not to go to the dinner table starved. eat a light snack a few hours before dinner... or if you do slip up, know that it's never too late to get back on the wagon - if you fall off!

Excellent advice! I already knew my plan on Thanksgiving Day: make a sampler plate of itty, bitty portions for everything you want. So I had 2-4 bites of the stuff I wanted; I only had 4 bites of dressing with giblet gravy. To top it off, I went walking around the neighborhood after eating. I had a few bites of Red Velvet Cake and two bites of my aunt's Upside Down German Chocolate Cake.

I worked out on Thanksgiving Day, y'all! I was in the gym 5 days last week

End result: I lost 3 pounds on Thanksgiving Week! Motivated doesn't begin to describe how I feel.

PS Congrats, BabyBlue!!! I can't wait to be in Onederland.

KUDOS to you! I gained two pounds, but it's all good because I have already begun working out and eating normally again.

THAT'S RIGHT! If you have a momentary setback, get back on the job. I had to do that to bounce back from a terrible October.

*singing* Me and delph gonna be so fine!

You can do it!

^^^^

I have been on the SB Diet since the end of June, and have lost 41 pounds so far! I love it, and do not feel deprived at all. The only time you are going to miss out on carbs is the first 2 weeks. After that, its smooth sailing.
Good luck!

I bought the SB book but haven't implemented it yet. What a slacker.... I'm actually trying to decide between SB or Dr. Ian's Fat Smash. I always hear good things about both. I'll decide by December 15. *that's a goal!*

I'm doing well with my own portions and diet choices, and I don't completely deprive myself. I've lost approximately 40 pounds from my highest weight ever. I'm motivated, y'all!

Well, I'm going to be biased and say you should do SB , but I have heard that Dr. Ians diet is good as well. What I have found to be key in my "lifestyle change" is not to get bored with the food. I am constantly trying new spices, recipes, etc..

Oh and,
Congrats to you!
