THAT'S RIGHT! If you have a momentary setback, get back on the job. I had to do that to bounce back from a terrible October.

You can do it!

^^^^

I have been on the SB Diet since the end of June, and have lost 41 pounds so far! I love it, and do not feel deprived at all. The only time you are going to miss out on carbs is the first 2 weeks. After that, its smooth sailing.
Good luck!

I bought the SB book but haven't implemented it yet. What a slacker.... I'm actually trying to decide between SB or Dr. Ian's Fat Smash. I always hear good things about both. I'll decide by December 15. *that's a goal!*

I'm doing well with my own portions and diet choices, and I don't completely deprive myself. I've lost approximately 40 pounds from my highest weight ever. I'm motivated, y'all!

Well, I'm going to be biased and say you should do SB , but I have heard that Dr. Ians diet is good as well. What I have found to be key in my "lifestyle change" is not to get bored with the food. I am constantly trying new spices, recipes, etc..

Oh and,
Congrats to you!

Post Don't Forget Those Measurements!

Sometimes I think we get caught up on the numbers on the scale without realizing that there are other ways to track weight loss progress (clothes fitting better, more energy, comorbidities being reduced). I cannot stress enough the importance of body measurements.

I started Curves about 2 years before starting WW, but because I was not a diligent Curver (or eater, lol), I gained my customary 10 lbs in my first year.

Yesterday I made an official loss (net) of 100 lbs. with Curves. I am more impressed with my measurements. Note: "Then" is June 2003. "Now" is November 2006.

You will notice that in the beginning I was a proverbial apple shape (i.e., my waist was bigger than my hips). I am especially happy to have reversed these proportions!

I hope these numbers will give some of you who have hesitated to exercise that final needed boost!

BUST
Then: 64"; Now: 46.75"

WAIST
Then: 55.5"; Now: 41.25"

ABDOMEN
Then: 58.25"; Now: 46.5"

HIPS
Then: 51.25"; Now: 45.5"

THIGHS
Then: 33.75"; Now: 24.5"

ARMS
Then: 18.5"; Now: 14"

Total Inches Lost: 78
Total Pounds Lost: 101.5 (again, net)
Body Fat Pounds: 71.01

Best of luck to all!

Also, this week I was able to wear size 16 non-stretch jeans for the first time since 1989! I am psyched!
