Thanks...if the parents were weirded out, I wouldn't see them again, but I do every year.
The GC troublemakers were just following AlfaFrog's lead when she was the first to call it creepy, b/c they start going into withdrawal when they can't cause trouble on every thread that anyone posts to. It's kind of like when one dog starts barking in the neighborhood in the middle of the night, the rest of them start to bark and none of them really know why.
They get their buddies who moderate the thread to remove everyone else's posts but their own, and that is why they post here and not on other forums, where the threads get deleted altogether.

Or maybe people agree that it's creepy and didn't read the other comments before posting. You don't have to agree that it's creepy but you know the parents' reactions to you and we're just reading about it. Even RU OX said it reads creepy.

Sorry to break it to you but my real life and real fun aren't centered around handing out candy to, and taking pictures of, children.  "Guffaw" to you for even thinking up that response.
I still say, and I'm sure this post will be deleted as were a couple others, that maybe people should keep a close watch of you because you never know what's going on in people's heads.

Agreed. My neighborhood back home is alot like that. All of the families are very close, have grown up together, very upscale and traditional....its pretty much a little bubble. We used to do things like you were mentioning all of the time......and espcecially now because I have little sisters. I don't think it is inappropriate at all to take pictures of the kids......most all of the families have kids themselves.

Yes because I ALWAYS follow what "Alfa" Frog says 
I just love how I get lumped into a group with such wonderful people--I feel special! YAY for me! lol. (ok, i'm not being sarcastic, i'm actually glad! lol)
I'm sorry I'll always find someone who takes pictures of children--"just because"--creepy. If I was to bring my children to your door, and you wanted to take a picture of them, i'd say no...plain and simple.
Don't come to this board...talk about your fascination w/talking pictures of little children, and then get upset when we say its "creepy." What else would we say? You know that you are not well liked on this board---it really is NO secret--so its not like we are going to be supportive of it.

I will risk being lumped in with the group and say, yes, this is CREEPY. It might be different if it was a Halloween party and you took pictures of the festivities.

Considering the parents are standing right there when I take the pictures, and I always ask every single one if it is ok, I have never once had a parent in 9 years say no. I don't really care what anyone thinks on the board, it's my home, my neighborhood and our culture.
I'm not commenting anymore on the subject since Alfa wanted to take, YET ANOTHER thread and turn it into a train wreck b/c she was dateless.

I've never been a big candy person, so I basically ate the Snicker's, M & Ms, bubble gum, and gave the rest to my sisters. My mom LOVES Tootsie Rolls, and would always take them from me.
My favorite treat, though, were Pixie Sticks!

I hated my dad taking the best candy, and I always tried to swap the crap stuff with my siblings (and get only good stuff in return).
