Well golly gee - it was only a joke, so I don't see what the fussin' and a fuedin' is about
The fact that it was a joke, based on negative racial stereotypes was, is sadly indicative of either a) the teller's racial insenitivity; b) the teller's prejudices or beliefs; or c) the teller's general stupidity in relating a joke in such poor taste, in a politically charged and "racially" sensative venue... personally I lean towards all three.

.....but in true Greekchat fashion....someone had to go on a rant and rave about being racist/prejudiced.

Well maybe because the a**holes that tell race/culture/ethnic jokes are usually displaying the tip of the old 'prejudice iceberg'... usually followed up by the defense when called on it "but I have ____ friends".
But then again I'm not really shocked that you don't get that at the very least the "joke" was in extremely poor taste - nor the fact that he (and by extension you) has so strongly defended it, instead of backing off and saying "oops, my bad - I only ment it as a joke".

I never said it was or wasn't in poor taste...I can see why some would take offense though....the fact is......I really don't care. Generally I think it is humorous when someone says "My baby daddy".....no matter what their race is. Generally it makes me think of poor white trash or a single ghetto fab. black mother of 8.
......and I believe Shiner did come back and say it was only a joke. It was also in "extremely poor taste" for Mrs. Obama to stand on a podium and introduce her husband in that way.

But all the albums sound the same...by which I mean, every song on an album sounds the same, so all the different albums sound different but all the songs...you know what I mean.
Nine Inch Nails...now there's a band that knows the meaning of life!

You guys better be doing this just to make me lose faith in Americans. NIN and Nirvana are both pathetic examples of music.

I like a lot of stuff, mostly stuff in the vein of classic rock, americana, folk, texas country....Zeppelin, Dylan, Van Morrison, Seeger, Paul Simon, Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen, The Band, Joe Cocker, CCR, Buffett, early springsteen, older elton john, Waylon, The Kinks, and then some more recent stuff....Hayes Carll, Reckless Kelly, Cast Iron Filter, Chris Knight, Charlie Robison, Old Crow Medicine Show, and although I'll probably get made fun of, I like some Nickel Creek. Theres a ton more, but thats stuff on my study playlist of late
