I take this to mean that he is *not* okay with dating a woman who drinks. I mean, he might try to appear to be okay with it at first, but after a while, the "compassionate nagging" will start:
Drinking has negative effects on you. It's unattractive when you drink. You should stop. If you don't, I'll pray for you. I'll pray that you don't mess up your life too much by drinking.
