This professor sounds extremely unprofessional. I don't think it would benefit your chapter at all to involve this man and his BS as an advisor. However, there doesn't seem to be a risk by inviting him to a scholarship dinner or program. But if you aren't actively involved in the chapter of your fraternity on your current campus, it's really not your business or place to involve him with the chapter.
