Also, I would add that you probably shouldn't look for any special allowances to be made on your behalf and just consider the attire a uniform that you have to wear temporarily (not a reflection of your individuality or lack thereof). We don't always want to wear certain attire either, but we do it because it's protocol and we respect the reasons for it. When it comes to my org, the school has nothing to do with it, protocol is protocol and the unity of it all is serious. We don't play that!!! lol! Also, many organizations including mine, induct new members who have already graduated from college via alumnae chapters since it's a lifetime thing, not a college thing.
Also, you may want to think hard about this and consider if a "traditional" sorority is what you're looking for at all since sororities generally embrace femininity and make no apologies for it. And by feminine, I don't mean that everyone is supposed to be prissy and girly, but if putting on a dress bothers you that much, you might consider a different type of sorority; I do think there are some out there now.
