Personally, I think that this is possibly the funniest bit ever seen on regular tv!
I think I've said this here before, but
Soap had some great ones, including the memorablel line about when Jody (the first openly gay man on tv - played by Billy Crystal) was marrying a hooker, and a family member was appalled. His mother said, "Well, his father was abducted by aliens, his brother talks through a ventroliquist dummy, his grandfather still thinks he's living during World War II, and she's a hooker. I think he's marrying up!"

*My mother watched Andy Griffith every chance she got. After she passed away, if her little dog heard the theme song, he'd go running to the tv!
