Same with "Do you." First time I heard this, I thought someone had started to ask me a question, but forgot to finish asking it.
It's one thing to say it to yourself, because sometimes, it's the truth. It's another when Suzy is saying it to Sally because Sally's boyfriend dumped her for shacking up with someone else. For some reason, I seem to be present for a whole lotta conversations involving that particular scenario. My friends must get bored a lot.

I say "totally" and "awesome" a lot, which is both irritating and juvenile, and I know it. I've almost removed it from my vocabulary when speaking, but for some reason it's so hard to resist when writing. I make sure to proofread important emails a few times in "serious" mode to make sure I don't sound like a 13 year old.
