Pertaining to the bolded part, you will probably find this
thread helpful. (Although it has a little bit of drama, sift through the BS and you will find some helpful information on drinking when it comes to Greek life and college in general).
ETA: The OP in the thread I referred you to is claiming that Greeks go through a lot of seminars about drinking and drugs, yet still partake in it. However, if you read a little while down, you will find that a lot of women in sororities state how some of their sisters do not drink, and it does not affect their experience with the sorority what-so-ever. Bottom line: There are drinkers in every situation. But, there are also non-drinkers. These women on this thread have stated that your sisters will accept you no matter your stance on drinking (unless you're a raging alcoholic
