It's not that easy to "just do away with it"
As much as I hate seeing people taking advantage of the system, if you just kick a few million people ('trailer trash' and 'hoods rats' alike) off the roles, then the govt will have a much more dangerous precedent they are setting.

They will have to get off their lazy asses get jobs like the rest of the planet. They probabley won't get good jobs but that is their problem for thinking they were going to be rappers or NBA stars and not going to school.
They won't be eligible for unemployment. You have to first pay in to collect.
The trailer trash and the hoodrats will end up doing the jobs that the illegals are now doing. If they got jobs it would actually be good for the economy. There would be more money coming in and less going out.
