First, I should say that recs at K-State aren't mandatory, but they do help immensely. I was lucky that my hometown panhellenic alumnae association was very active and they helped all local girls going through recruitment at various schools to get recs. I assume you are in Kansas. Depending where you are, your closest panhellenic alumnae group may do the same thing. If not, you can begin by asking women you know who are alums and at least have a good start.
