It looks like it's used in a lot of other kinds of makeup, not just mineral makeup - http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov...l=chem&id=1337
I'm pretty picky about ingredients and that sort of thing, but this just doesn't sound that dangerous to me. But to each their own
