Okay I'm showing my age here, but are Rainbows to today's college kids what Birkenstock's were to mine (early/mid 90s). Basically expensive but indistructible sandals that mold to your feet that you never want to take off even though they look like crap?
Birkenstocks have a bad rep now of only being worn by hippies or lesbians
