I've had my Rainbows for over 3 years now. They seriously are the most comfortable flip flop--I do remember getting a few blisters when I first wore them until they broke in.
As for the people that said they didn't like them--I have always gotten a number of compliments on mine whenever I travel outside NC (where it seems everyone owns a pair)--I have the skinny tan leather ones.
Initially $40 seemed pretty steep for flip flops, but as often as I wear them, it makes sense.
Yeah it does seem like everyone here has at least one pair of Rainbows, and everyone seems to love them, and it doesnt matter if you live near the beach (Me) or near the mountains, Rainbows are popular coast to coast here in NC

I agree, they do seem to be wildly popular here!
Although it took me a couple years to get into the trend..... I'm glad I did b/c they are insanely comfortable, although it did take me quite some time to do so.
