Okay...I'm back! I want to add to this thread because it got really good!
There are a few people on here I want to address.
Someone said that they judge people who use poor grammar. I will admit, I am the same way! No, I am not a grammar expert, but a lot of it has to do with growing up with my Aunt Deb (a Penn State English Professor) who would literally correct your English from "good" to "well" and all that. I especially judge people when they can't differentiate between "you're" and "your" or there, they're, and their. It isn't that freakin' hard! Figure it out because it makes me thin you are uneducated, even if you have a college degree. If someone makes those mistakes, regularly, and they graduated from another university than me, I think, "Wow, they must have some low standards to graduate from that school." If it is a Penn State graduate, I shudder and feel that my degree loses its value/ worth everytime that person writes like that. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
KSUViolet, you totally called me out. Please don't think I am saying you are specifically calling me out, I'm joking. What I am saying is that I totally do that. I put certain things in all caps to make a point. I've used quoatation marks, and yes, I have actually done the air/ hand quotation marks to make a point. That is very douche-baggery, so I need to work on that...Lol.
I have actually used the letters WTF aloud. Yep, need to work on that one, as well.
DeepImpact, I agree with you that it is hard to explain the difference between religious beliefs and judgments. Also, I wanted to comment on your signature. That is so true! I say that all the time! It reminds me of the word homophobe. Just because you don't agree with homosexuality (I'm not saying I am against it-I'm making a point) doesn't mean you are afraid of it. I hate the term homophobe. It is just stupid, in my mind.
I love this thread! I'm so glad everyone feels comfortable sharing their opinions in here! It makes me smile.
That's my soapbox for now!
