Why bring him into it? I guess I could have just pointed out that "post hoc ergo propter hoc" is a common logical fallacy. While I could hazard a guess at what you intimating, I wouldn't want to assume incorrectly.
I promise that if I want to say something to or about an individual it won't be ambiguous. If I write in general terms, it's a general statement.
