Oh Gosh help!

Ok, so I just realized that my boyfriend's birthday is in 8 days and I haven't gotten a present yet because I suck. I found a really nice set of Sigma Nu cufflinks that are within my budget. I just think they are something nice that he might be able to use for a long time. Guys, what do you think? Yay or Nay on the cufflinks? If no, I need some sort of other gift ideas pronto! thanks!

(I am searching other threads too )

Unless he is a mama's boy he should pretty much like anything you give him . . including a simple night of sexual debauchery . . boys don't attach the same feelings of self worth that girls do when it comes to receiving presents in a relationship.

Other things I was thinking, a Longhorns gift certificate because he loves steak or a Best Buy gift certificate. Those just seem impersonal though. Hmmmm

Does he wear suits enough to require cuff links? A tie clip would be more visible . . . or a set of cross pens with his letters engraved on them .. .

Not to be totally off-color . .. but you could go to Vicky's and get something nice, make him dinner, and then wrap yourself up in a bow . . The vicky's item is kind of the gift that keeps giving . . .

I really like Jame's idea of a tie clip.

When my son was initiated I made him a LXA keepsake box.
I went to Hobby Lobby and found an oak box that had a glass frame for a photo on top. I took some wrapping paper as the back and put the crest on it (instead of a picture). Inside I place a glass coin dish with his letters. I had an old wooden box of ivory dominoes from his great grandfather so they got letters and went inside too! He seemed to REALLY like it. ...of course he was on a lot of drugs for his wisdom teeth surgery!
