Glad to hear SDSU is back. I spent a weekend with those
guys one summer 1987...they were a bunch of "surfer dudes"
...didn't strike me as Einsteins, but the ones there in the
summer were there for summer school....probably not at
the top of the scholarship list.
They thought it was "so neat" that someone from KENTUCKY
was there. "Hey bro look...this dude's from KENTUCKY!"
"Where's Kentucky?", one asked...."between
Oklahoma and Montana!" another retorted! (discovered
he had Kentucky mixed up with Kansas)
"Did you wear shoes before you came to California?"
"Is the grass really blue there?" (well, at least that one knew
SOMETHING about KY!

)
"What do you drink there???" ... "Birthplace of Bourbon?!!!!
Mando dude!!"
They took me to the beach (WONDERFUL in SD) and
tried to get me to surf....I decided to stay on the
beach and protect the girls (yeah right).
Needless to say, they were one of the most fun and
welcoming chapters I ever visited....even if they weren't
the sharpest tools in the shed!
The pic on the link above must be a later house....the
one they had in 1987 is the one that's in my Paed. from
the late 80's....just a stucco box with a very large
LXA painted on the side.
