Don't forget the steel wool. The whole thing makes the hair stand up on my arms.

But that would be it. Note this from The Washington Post:
Writing under the name Jimmy Flathead, Ivins was a frequent editor of the KKG Wikipedia page during the past two years, debating online whether certain sorority sisters should be mentioned. In a post on an online forum called GreekChat he wrote in September 2006 that a KKG member was one of "two of the people (yes, they're friends) that I admire most in my life. . . . Both are world-renowned scientists and pioneers in their respective fields." And this post September 3, 2006, by prunetacos:
Dear Carnation: Gee, I hope I can stay! I promise not to say mean things about anybody except non-Greeks, who don't know better anyway. PEOPLE don't bother me. Certain attitudes and behaviors bother me. A few years ago I made a comment about Sally Ride not being in a sorority, and I was told in the firmest of terms that I was completely wrong. I've been trying to find out ever since what she was in. Maybe an honorary? Maybe one devoted to science (like Sigma Xi)? Maybe a service organization? Don't know. What I do know is that I've never found an answer. You can google "Sally Ride" and "sorority" and come up with a list of outstanding Americans - she among them - who are in GLOs.
I've been privately chewed out about "The Urban Legend of Carla Sander." It's not an urban legend, folks. Sorry.
I suppose now I should say that two of the people (yes, they're friends) that I admire most in my life are a KKG and a Chi O. Both are world-renowned scientists and pioneers in their respective fields.

MysticCat-
When did you figure it out? It wasn't until I read your post that I was able to put two and two together.

i can not, nor will i ever, speak for mc. i knew it the moment i read the on-line story in the washington post this morning. i very glad that i had put down my cup of coffee and had put it in a very safe place not near my key board or tower.
on another note, how many of the current 300 guests on greek chat are here due to the story? any reporters? agents? Hum. wonder if the administrator got a call or two on this? most likely yes.

My hand is raised.
Ew. This is why you don't post identifying info online. Who knows what creepers are writing back to you.
Gross, gross, gross.
That Washington post article gave me the chills.

Crispin Glover can play Ivins. That one is a no brainer.

if there is a movie of some sort made and if his actions on greek chat are somehow portrayed, i wonder if they could just lift the postings word for word. as this is an open site, i would believe that they could. perhaps only changing log in names. as this being only a relatively small part of whole story, if even done would end up on cutting room floor.
