Also, keep in mind of chapters that may not have houses or a sweet "fraternity row" to use. PR is huge.

It wasn't a strategy, it was a covert way to say, "Look at me, I'm in a top tier chapter." Congratulations. You have the flawed assumption that every chapter can just have events and the potential members come to them.

I don't deny that tiers exist in most Greek Communities. I just think it's stupid to overemphasize their importance because it belittles the experiences of members in "lower tier" chapters; as if their experiences are/were not as worthwhile simply because of their "low tier" status.

Oh come on, a 91% reference here?

Hell, we also got a guy named Cracker Barrel, but still.

Because when something bad happens in a really big car – accidentally speeding through the middle of a gang of unruly young people who have been taunting you in a drive-in restaurant, for instance – it happens very far away – way out at the end of your fenders. It's like a civil war in Africa; you know, it doesn't really concern you too much. - P.J. O'Rourke

Question for the OP-- when does recruitment begin/when can you start giving bids (ie. before school starts, when school starts, a couple weeks after school starts, second semester)?
Second semester....
