Terror alert: Warnings or scare tactics?
It seems that everytime there's bad news for the Bush admin the
Terror alert level is raised, but each time the American people are not given any real specifics as to why. Many people believe that Bush is using these alerts to keep the American people in a constant state of fear in order to keep their minds off of the piss poor job that Bush is doing as president.

Its generally considered unwise to change administrations during a crisis.
IF there was another Terror Attack it might really help Bush's numbers.

And that's why I believe the Bush administration is overhyping these terror alerts.

But that is what they said about Guillani. He said it was not good for NY to change mayors at the time of 9/11. But it will have to happen. More people are unhappy with him than loving him right now.

Some of you folks are conspiracy theorists to the Nth degree! It's ridiculous the lengths you folks will go to just to say that BUSH is EEEVVIL! One day you all will wake up and realize the times we're living in. The terrorists aren't playing, so I don't know why yall think this is a game to "play" around with the terror alerts.

The administration is having trouble getting "traction" on this issue because some people feel they "gamed" the system, fed in and then proceeded based on bad intel ...WMD, the NY financial building disclosures last week, as examples.
I could care less about the "partisan" spin of either side; if the public believes you've not been totally truthful before, they'll have a hard time giving you the benefit of the doubt going forward.

To the Bush supporters Sept 11th happened on the Bush administration's watch but it seems as if you guys have forgotten that. Because of Bush's Cowboy type approach to foreign policy he's thrown fuel on the fires of terrorism, I suggest that you quit believing the hype about Bush being the man to fight this battle. It amazes me how easy it is to fool some people after all didn't Bush opt out of the reserves early ensuring that he WOULD NOT see any combat during the war!
As far as Bush being evil I can't say if he is or isn't but his actions have shown him to be a lying, mean spirited man (remember the things they said about John McCain in the 2000 election) that took the American people for fools w/the Iraqi WMD issue.

Speaking about John McClain, what's up with him to politicking with bush? Maybe he is becoming crazy in his old age, but I would NEVER be on the same side of the man who just 4 years ago but my name in the mud.
Personally, I believe Bush bought the election and when he did, the money in my poscket has been slim to none. I, personally, welcome a change. Because it is needed deseparately. I can not take another four more years of this president. He's not for the common man (which I am). And with the "war" its a joke. A very bad scripted joke that no one gets the point.

John McCain realizes he'll never be president (age/health issues) and so he wants to keep the White House in Repub. hands, if he can; thus a bigger platform for the issues he cares about. All professional pols read the "political calculus" of a situation, no matter what they say publicly. McCain's doing that now; but it is interesting to see him on the trail now after what happened in S.Carolina in 2000.

It is hella interesting, but McCain does appear that he's decided to put his party ahead of himself. What got me is that Gorgie's ignorant minions, in 2000, said Bridget McCain, McCain's adopted daughter, was black. There's a difference between AfAm and Bangladeshi, but obviously those lowest-common-denominator Cleetus and Clovises couldn't tell.

So do I.
Why is it that since 9/11 the government has ALL of this information available to them when there could be a possible attack and the location of these attacks? Yet, on 9/10/01 they did not know anything? I guess it's that technology.
