One unhappy Zetakitten...

So I just looked at our Formal Recruitment/Bid Day schedule and came to a VERY unpleasant realization. Bid day starts on February 3, at 5:30 PM.

The Super Bowl starts at 6:00 PM.

My team is in the playoffs.

I am one unhappy sorority girl right now.

anyway the chapter could bump up the party to earlier on that sunday? maybe the sister who planned the party did not know that it was superbowl sunday. or maybe the party could segue from a bidday party into a superbowl party?

It happened to us one year and so we had a football theme and dispersed to various Superbowl parties right after and invited all our new bunnies to go watch the game

We have our Bid Night party Super Bowl EVERY year. Its just the way it falls on the calendar. Some years we have used it as a theme with chili and wings, other years we just go with the flow.

Bid Night is totally worth missing the SuperBowl to me, and the hubby loves it, since he and his buddies get the house to themselves!

I wish we could do something about it... it's not our bid day party that starts at that time. 5:30-8:00 is Panhellenic's bid day, so that's the sororities find out their NMs, RCs come back, etc part, so it's out of our hands, and we're going to be far away from TVs.

Here's hoping there's a TV where ever we end up having our bid day party... or that things might change if (when?) the home team makes the Superbowl...

I remember when we had events that overlapped with the Super Bowl. I wonder if there is some way to work with your Panhellenic. (Unless there is a belief that females don't like football. To which I say, PFFFFFFTTTTTTTT!)
