To: Father in Heaven: Hey, Lord its me. As you already know, last week was really stressful for me mentally. First, you called Allan home (even though I know circumstances down here could have maybe prevented that) and then 2 days later you called Chris home which totally took me be surprise. I know by calling him home to you that Chris received the ultimate healing, but Lord why couldn't we keep one of your angels for a little bit longer? He injured himself saving someone else's life (because you know Chris HAS to help a person in need whether stranger or friend - doesn't matter) and I knew he had to have surgery to stop some bleeding, but he made it seem all not serious - probably because he knew it would worry everyone. Little did I know that would be the last time I'd get to talk to him again.

Lord also comfort his parents right now. I cant' imagine what its like to lose both of your children within a month on each other so just surround them with your love and peace.

I know heaven is a lot brighter now with Chris there, so tell him I can't wait to see him again.

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.

He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.

You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

To the powers that be at ESPN, CBS Sports and Jefferson Pilot Sports: I just heard on the news that the USC/Clemson game will be on PPV this year. WHY?? And from the SEC games I heard that WILL BE on TV a week from Saturday sound like they will be blow outs. Hopefully, this game will be good and ya'll going to regret not showing it on your stations. And for the $30 I would be giving DirecTV for the game, I better just well drive two hours to Columbia and go to the game myself!

To the programing powers that be at CBS: I have an idea. Why don't ya'll do a big CSI event which incorpates all three shows? Or even do a big CSI TV movie? That would be great!!

Also, I wanted to say this for a while but that "Walker:Texas Ranger" movie that was on a few weeks ago was A HOT MESS!! If I wanted to see forsenics, I could watch CSI, CSI:Miami, CSI:NY and NCIS. I watch Walker for some good butt kicking and Walker, for most of the movie, was getting his butt kicked! Even Mama Jitterbug said that she never seen Walker use a gun. And why was Trevette on for a minute and why did Alex get shot (again) in the end?

To Him: Thank you for getting me an interview at my hometown newspaper. I know it was also you who made it from a part-time job to a full one. This has been a dream of mine for a long time and I pray that you will bless me on Friday, guide my steps and make sure I do and say the right thing to land me this job. These last two years have been rough but hopefully with this I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Also, I know another hurdel will be my previous newspaper job. Guide them to say the right things about me and not the nasty ones they think about me. Please, I hope and pray it all works well for me and comes out in my favor.

Signed,
JB13

Dear Lord:

Thank you Almighty for all of the blessings that you have bestowed upon me. You have taken from me and given things to me in my life in order to make me closer to you--to give me a better perspective on life. As I grow closer to you, I have begun to understand your Will. I love you and thank you. I pray that you will give me the strength and the wisdom to endure one more semester of law school--and taking the Bar. I pray that you will give me endurance for all the work ahead in my beloved sorority. I pray that you will watch over everyone I have ever come to love and know. Also, please keep Honeykiss1974 and her family and friends in your prayers as they are enduring troubling times.

Amen.

Dear Honeykiss,

You and your family and friends are in my prayers.

Dear Akron/Canton Ohio Dept. of Transportation,

I have not driven to Cleveland since Labor Day 2004 so imagine my disgust when I go to I 77 North in Akron/Canton area to see the same orange barrells that I saw last Labor Day. WTH are you all doing? Get it together.

Dear ALL State Troopers that I saw on the way to my mother's house:

Thanks for not pulling me over.

Dear men who work on the dock with me,

Please stop asking me out to lunch/dinner, going to the movies, asking if I have a boyfriend, etc. Please stop spitting wack lines, which will totally shut you off from me. 98% of ya'll wouldn't have a chance with me anyway because you sound ignorant and aren't that great looking. I don't care how much money you make. And if you think it's cute to tease me like an eight-year old or say "yeah, let's get together because your cousin married mines", that doesn't work either. Please come to me like you have at least some intellegence.

Take for example, the black stevedore who works for APM. If he didn't have a girlfriend this is why I WOULD holler at him...
1) He's fine.
2) He's smart and carries himself like a real gentleman.
3) He's an Alpha.

Number 3 is optional (you don't have to be greek, but I also do like Omegas and Kappas) but if you want to step to me, please at least come with the first two. And if you get offended, I don't care if you run to my father and ask him why I won't give you the time of day. Give him this message: I hate this job, I can't find you so I can get money, and if I get the job at the newspaper, I'm gone!

Signed,
JB13

P.S. to my GC family: I am very choosy when it comes to men.

Dear Terri McMillan:

I was watching you on Oprah yesterday. HC you didnt' know Johnathan was gay when you married him? I did!! I think you had Star Jones Syndrome. Did you not notice:

1. The arched eyebrows
2. The limp in his wrist
3. The processed es-curl which was constantly styled into spikes or tendrills
4. The MAC #10 foundation
5. The chestnut colored Acuvue contact lenses
6. The nipple ring
7. The feminine voice which is quite higher than mine

You were really animated and dramatic yesterday on Oprah. It was funny. I feel bad for you though. I know you were pissed when Johnathan blasted you and told the world that you had BEEN asking him was he gay....even Oprah was shocked. Anyway, I'll be praying that God gives you peace. But, if I was you, I wouldn't EVEN be trying to be friends with that nicca....WHAT IN THE HEEZY DID YOU TAKE BATH WITH HIM LAST WEEK FOR?????!!

Dear Judge Mablean,
Today on Divorce Court, you had on a green shirt, green eye shadow, green brooch on top of your robe and LONG GREEN FINGERNAILS. You are just a hot azz mess these days.

Dear Mommy,
For Christmas, I am getting you a new keyboard. This thing needs to be retired.

Dear T:

Thank you for the fabulous time in Jacksonville last weekend. JVille is a wonderful city and I can't wait to come back. Thank you for cooking me a real Southern breakfast and treating me like the queen you know I am. I am sooo happy that you and I have reconnected and that perhaps this time around we can make things work between us now that we're grown ups and out on our own. Can't wait to see you again.

Dear Jobs in Jacksonville:

Thank you for giving me an interview while I was in town. Now I am hoping to hear from you real soon in the form of a job offer. I loved the great weather and the friendly people in your city. I am dying to get out of Michigan before the snow hits and I would love to come to Jacksonville as soon as possible. I have already let you know that I can be there and ready to work by the end of this month. All you have to do is offer me a job. Thank you.

To Honeykiss: You're welcome!

To People Magazine: I appreciate that you sent me a reminder e-mail to vote for Sexest Man Alive. I have already voted and I can only vote once. Which make me mad. And Ye's still at the botton of the list. And out of all the people you have listed, he's the only one I would want to vote for because most of them just don't do nothing for me. Next year, get some more people of color (even though I appreciate that you did put Kanye on the list).

Signed,
JB13
