Thats really the only thing I dont like about MAC lipglass... its way too gooey although I do LOVE oh baby.

Since I only really use lip color on an everyday basis, I use Lancome Juicy Tubes in sun bronze, mangue, and fraise!

I'm not a make-up person. I rarely put on make-up. I just lipgloss or chapstick the lips and go.

But I think I am going to start wearing make-up more, just to switch it up a little.

MAC is it!

They have reasonable prices and they always have an updated line of products by the season.

The Lig Glasses are great and you can buy the pop out eyeshadows to start your own palette. This is cheaper ($9.50) vs I think $13.50 for the eye shadow.

I have heard that Sephora is cool but I have never tried it.

I LOVE MY MAC!

MAC :)

I just purchased Studio Fix (NC 42) to try out as opposed to my current Studio Tech. For those of you who use Studio Fix, do you just apply it on a clean face? I don't have to add water or anything to it right?

I also bought my very first M.A.C lipglass: POP MODE - it looks sooooo cool! I had to re-read this thread because tomorrow I'm heading back to the store and getting Oh Baby, C-thru, Chestnut, etc. lol

Anyone can give advice as to what brushes to buy? I just stick on some foundation, add a little blush using the little brush that comes with it, use black eyeliner on top and bottom of eyelids (will have to try the brown eyeliner since my eyes are close to light brown), and that's all I do.

I would like to use eye shadows and stuff like that especially at night if I go out. What's the correct way to "decorate" the eyes? Dark color on lids, medium color in the middle, lighter shade under the eyebrows? Tips? Suggestions? Thanks!

Here is a small photo gallery so you can see me

I have Sudio Fix as well. Yea, I usually just put lotion on my face because I have combo skin and a few minutes later I apply it. I
suppose if you needed concealer or something of the sort you should apply that prior to the Fix but Im not into all that stuff.

In reference to the eye shadows, when you go to the counter ask them to do your eyes with a few shades that are neutral and buy those. I have a shimmery brown that works w/ everything.

I usually just apply one color to my eye lids on a daily basis. I only do that whole Dark,Medium and Lighter shade technique for big events, I try to keep things very simple on my face.

You have a nice complexion you dont need much of this stuff anyway!!

lol, thanks I am not into makeup too much, but I wear it everyday for a natural look. However, I was asking for the eye shadow stuff because I am going to a big event and it will be at night. I figured, nicely made eyes and lips, while still looking normal, would be great

I just got back from the mall again, lol. Unfortunately all of the names everyone suggested for lipglass doesn't look right for me, . I ended up buying the following (all MAC):

*ENGRAVED Powerpoint Eye Pencil (love the way it just glides on-it's black)
*CHESTNUT Lip Pencil
*GITANE Lipglass
*HONEYLUST (eye shadow that is light bronze)
*GREENSMOKE (eye shadow that is very light green, almost silver-looking)
*Angled brush #266 (for eyes)
*Flat brush #239 (for eyes)

The eye shadows I bought was to keep my eyes looking as natural as possible with just a touch of color.

I LOVE THE GITANE LIPGLASS AND THE CHESTNUT COMBO!!! This color is TIGHT! When I put it on, I had other MAC reps come and ask what color that was as well as other customers!

After that, I took a peek at Lancome...they had the free gift if you buy something for $26.50...so I bought a face cleanser that cost exactly that, and got other little products in the bag including mascara, eye shadows, lipstick, and makeup remover for the eyes, etc.

What fun!

How many times can you resurrect a thread???

Ladies, I just sat here (at work, no less) and read this entire thread!

I must say that I too, am a MAC addict! I discovered MAC about a year or so ago - they don't sell it in my area - and from my first purchase, studio stick , I fell in love - HARD!

On Monday, I purchased studio fix (love it love it love it!), Budding Beauty eye shadow (to go with my Humid shadow ) and Beaux lustreglass. My daughter now wants to know why I'm always wearing lipstick or lipgloss to work, and I told her since I've spent so much money on it, I may as well use it! I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, generally just on Sundays, but now I'm wearing something on my lips every day. One thing I like about MAC - although it may be a little more expensive, a little of it goes a long way. It'll take me forever to use all the eyeshadow that I have (only 5 little pots of the stuff).

Here's my situation: although Beaux and Oh Baby are close in color, I thought I'd have to take my foods intravenously because the lipglass was so stickly. I'm also not that thrilled with Oh baby. I ordered it online, and though I have tried to like it, I just don't. So I'm going to return it. My question is, I'm thinking of replacing it with a lip primer. Have any of you used one before, and is it worth it? Does it really help with feathering, or help the lipstick last longer?

Oh yeah - and the Chestnut liner and "O" lipstick? Best thing since apple pie! But after Monday, I'm not buying any more makeup for a long time.

I'm not a descriptive person, but it's a bronzy color. The website honestly doesn't do the cosmetics justice, because if you saw it in person, it wouldn't look the same as it does online.

Sawrah! You may be a MAC addict but I am the junkie shakin from withdrawl if I don't get a new shadow every month lol I LOVE LOVE LOVE my humid eyeshadow...that color was sent from God for me. Simple as that. I got it a few years ago & it is perfect. MAC is the ONLY make-up I use. When they see me coming they know it 's big money time! I wish we had one on Grand Bahama Island b/c I alone could keep that store in the black!

Oh and "O" is quite a lovely color. I bought it many years ago & it is really nice. Almost like a bronzy color with a touch of deep red-orange.

Also MAC has a blush called Breezy that is quite nice. Has a little sparkle if you like that. I could go on and on about MAC but I shan't

Bloomingdales is launching their own makeup called ELF (Eyes, Lips, Face). To get the name out there, they're selling everything for $1 online. Shipping is $5 total.

Check it out:
