Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity is the largest coed service organization on college campuses in the United States. In our 82 year history we have been supported by the work of thousands of volunteers. In our efforts to create a brand identity we are adding this new position to our National Office Staff. Some of the ground work has been laid by our volunteers and this new position will need to work closely with these volunteers.
Responsibilities
The Director of Communications is responsible for implementing the organization’s Style Guide and Graphic Standards in all publications both printed and electronic. This newly created position will develop the quarterly newsletter, assist with development and membership materials, and revise supporting brochures. This person will work with the volunteers who serve on the Marketing Committee to build brand identity. Additionally, the Director of Communications will:
* Write, edit, and or evaluate our day to day communication pieces
* Write and distribute all media releases
* Assist the Executive Director and the Director of Annual Giving in coordinating all marketing and public relations
* Proof read all external collateral material
* Work with Webmaster to maximize effectiveness of website and other electronic communications
* Work well with outside vendors
Qualifications
Motivated, energetic, and reliable self starter.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong proof reading skills.
Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers and vendors.
Three years of direct related experience

Full time position with benefits
Salary: Mid 30’s
