Totally agreed. That's always been my "theme song." *grin* A friend gave it to me, after I rode with my convertable top down while it was snowing. Damn I miss college. *lol*

Although I have to admit I never liked this song, even when it came out -- I didn't really like much of anything Billy Joel came out with in the 80s. I much preferred his earlier stuff -- "Summer, Highland Falls," "New York State of Mind," "Prelude/Angry Young Man" or "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" and the like. Like Elton John, I always thought he was at his best when he focused on the piano.

Besides, the beginning always reminded me of the beginning of Another Pleasant Valley Sunday -- which, having watched The Monkees every Saturday when I was kid, I liked much better.

Brings back many memories of his old songs.
I loved Root Beer Rag; a song he does not play as much nor a well since his crash.

A "new" band that my younger sister turned me onto has some great rock music and songs:The Saw Doctors. Or as I call them the Other Irish Rock Group.

That was always one of my favorites too. I figured out why when I learned that it was written by Carole King. Even as a die hard, Zeppelin and Pink Floyd fan, I most definitely appreciate her talent.

As for Billy Joel, I was always partial to Big Shot.
