Spanish TV, Telenovelas, etc...
Not wanting to hijack the "Betty" thread...
Who else loves Telenovelas?? They were interesting before I learned Spanish, but now that I understand what's going on, I love them!!
My favorite so far is "Inocente de Ti", followed closely by "Mujer de Madera".
I think I like them, because most of them are just so cheesy, and don't try and hide it. American TV is cheesy, but they try to act like it's not...the Spanish proudly show their queso...
Also, their news programs do a lot more human-interest type pieces, and are less liberal in general then most American news shows.
