The best PR is to be who you say you are.
If your organization says they hold high standards in academics...don't be skipping classes, and failing exams. Hold the standards high.
If your organization says it devotes a lot of time to community service....make sure everyone knows. Ask your college newspaper to write an article about your recent community service events.
Don't reinforce the negative stereo-types.
You represent your organization. When you are in a national organization you are not representing just your chapter, but your entire national organization. Yes all chapters are different, but the rest of the world doesn't know the difference- they assume that all chapters are like that.
The way you represent your organizaion, good or bad, is the way people who don't know you or your organization will think of it.
You are not just a college student...you are a member of XYZ organization at Your U.
The best PR....is Positive PR!
