Well, since I don't like olives, I don't like them on deviled eggs. But I know plenty of people who will put a slice of olive on the "yolk" as a garnish.

It's served as a salad -- on lettuce and often with a dab of mayonaisse (homemade or Duke's, of course ) or a similar dressing on top.

I'm with you on cherry pies, but apple pies and berry pies of any variety (blue-, rasp-, black-, straw-) are heaven on earth as far as I'm concerned.
