There is now.
This is a thread for how the series will end in the next two books. Discuss!
(I apologize for yet another thread about this kid, but that way people who haven't read them all can avoid spoilers.)

No clue why, but my husband and I want Snape to turn out to be a good guy.

I think Snape really is a good guy. He's just a little bitter.

I'm re-reading PoA and I can't help but think that Professor Trelawney might actually be right in a prediciton of her's in the 6th or 7th book.

OK: Here's a soap opera stretch:
Harry becomes more & more disillusioned about things he finds out about James Potter, truth is that James & Lily hated each other and in the end, it turns out that Snape is actually Harry's father. Heee.
I know. This isn't Star Wars...just a funny thought. I think there is more of a connection b/t Harry & Snape than we realize...just don't know what it is yet.

I cant find the link but over the weekend there was an article on yahoo about how J K Rowling had said there is a good chance Harry might die by the end of the series. She said something about how the only way she sees Valdenmort dying is if Harry dies. She also mentioned how she knew this would upset a lot of fans and that it wasnt a definite thing. Wish I could find that link...

I had heard that Daniel Radcliff said that he thought Harry would die in the end. But not from Rowling herself.
Or here's a stretch for ya:
So I remember in the 5th book that Nelville and Harry have a connection... their birthday is the same, right? And I remember reading (vaguely) that Voldemort is on the opposite end of someone with that birthday or something. Voldy will automatically assume it's Harry because of his downfall, but what if Voldy has the wrong guy? Maybe the other all powerful hero is actually Nelville. And somehow this is played up in the 7th book, Nelville is killed with Voldemort and Harry survives in guilt. (Whew... way too much time on my hands...)
Or Nelville pulls a Peter Pettigrew...

I also hope that Crookshanks turns out to be an Animagus--maybe somebody that everyone else thought was dead.

I could see that happening... He could turn out to be a good guy, which would explain why he chased Scabbers.

Nope. On JK's offical site ( www.jkrowling.com if you have a spare moment, go there it is so faboulous!!) she says that Crookshanks is half Kneazle. To find out what a Kneazle is, you have to read the book "Care of Magical Creatures". The money goes to chartiy, so she won't say what a Kneazel actually is, but I suppose it is somewhere on the internet.
Seriously though, go to her website if you have a free minute. There are little extas hidden....like, the cell phone is there for more than just decoration....

I know that Crookshanks is not an animagus.....he is part...kneanzle? or something like that...its in FB, JK confirms this on her website. He is definately a good guy, just not human...and of couse the whole Pettrigrew incident (PoA).
I don't think Harry will die but come very close to, in the prophecy it states that only will live and the other will die and they are the only ones who will be able to kill the other.
Trelawney's prophecy in PoA comes true in GOF, if I remember correctly. I'm currently rereading OoTP and can't find PoA at the moment, did find CoS (my least favorite book)
