				Friend rushing at W&M

I don't have many details but I have a younger friend who is rushing at William and Mary. She attended open house last weekend and was invited by all 10 to Philanthropy Round this weekend:
 Alpha Chi Omega
 Chi Omega
 Deltaa Gamma
 Kappa Delta
 Kappa Kappa Gamma
 Kappa Alpha Theta
 Delta Delta Delta
 Gamma Phi Beta
 Phi Mu
 Pi Beta Phi

However, she can only attend 8 so she has decided to drop Gamma Phi Beta and Phi Mu.

She is bright, athletic, sweet, pretty etc etc, a great asset to any sorority! Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kappa Delta are her favorites thus far!

I'm so excited for your friend and my Tridelt! It sounds like we got two amazing girls today!
P.S. Maybe you could send her a bouquet of yellow rose with blue and silver ribbons? The pansy isn't what could really be considered a bouquet flower . Or you could always order something online or from your local greek store like some cute letter butt shorts! My mom's friend who was a Tridelt sent me some of those when I pledged!

				Congrats on TriDelta!

Congrats are in order! I am so happy to hear that we seem to be getting some outstanding young women! As for gifts, I know that when I first pledged, I was excited to have anything with the letters on it! However, I don't know if this is still policy (probably not), but when I pledged, we were not allowed to wear the greek letters (ie: DDD) until after we were initiated--except for our bid day shirts. I know that lavaliers were also really popular...I still have mine.

tri-d -- it's no longer the national policy to prevent NMs from wearing letters. Some individual chapters forbid their NMs to wear letters, but I think nationals considers that "hazing" . . .
