Talking Would Chi Omega ever return to Canada?

Hello to the army of Chi Omegas who are on this board!
Being a proud Canadian, I was wondering whether any of you are in close contact with the Chi Omega Executive Offices....the reason I ask is:

Will Chi Omega ever return to Canada?
There used a Chi Omega chapter here on Canadian soil, but it was a looong time ago. It was at Hellmuth Women's College in London, ON - Phi Chapter (1899-1900). That college no longer exists (although London is the site of the University of Western Ontario...a Greek mecca in Canada) and given the dates, any surviving alumnae would be very old!

So, do any of you Chi O's know whether Chi O wants to come back to Canada? I only ask because a lot of the really big NPC's like Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, Delta Zeta etc. all have a Canadian presence in some capacity, whereas Chi Omega does not (nor does Zeta Tau Alpha..their Canadian chapter are now closed too...boo hoo! )

If I may, i'd like to add another Canadian perspective from a male point of view.

Because I've dealt with Internationals of many of the big fraternities I know that some of their policies are geared toward can. chapters much more so than others.
Similar to some sororities that you mentioned that have strong presences, we can say the same for many of the "powerhouse" fraternities.
Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Theta, Beta Theta Pi, Lambda Chi Alpha and Kappa Sigma all have good representation in Canada. Conversely, SAE only has one (which will probably fold), Sig Ep has none and TKE only has 3. Some fraternities accept can. funds at par and others have established can. foundations for tax refunds to help their current chapters and establish new colonies. Maybe Chi Omega needs to adopt more Pro-Canada
policies to get some presence here.

I know from our advisor, who was a National Consultant for two years, that Chi Omega is founding two new chapters right now as we speak. I think this will be keeping them busy for some time. But I would have to agree that Chi Omega should go Canadian. I know that a lot of those other sororities have and have had success with numbers. I think it'd be exciting.
I'll let ya know if I hear anything.

Obviously I'm not a Chi Omega, but it'd be great for the XOs (and other NPCs not currently in Canada) to make their way back to Canada...and it's so great to hear that they're in the process of establishing these chapters!

I had the opportunity to meet many of my Canadian sisters at Convention, and it was so AWESOME to have both our national anthems played. Many of our AGD Canadians sang our Star-Spangled Banner out of respect to us...and I actually sang O Canada! for the first time. It was a great experience!
