REALLY EXCITING NEWS!!!

The Phi Kappa Chapter (Muhlenberg College) of Phi Mu currently has a pledge class of 19 and is still growing!!!

Now, 19 you say? That's pretty small compared to other chapters at other schools. My pledge class, last fall, was one of the largest in our chapter's history at 18. Every pledge class in recent history before ours had been between 5 and 10 and we were struggling to get new members. So 19 is a gigantic pledge class for us!! And girls are still approaching sisters with interest in COB!! Yay!!!

Congrats, ladies!!

I just got in touch with a Phi Kappa alumna who is running a half-marathon to raise donations for cancer research, partially in memory of her Phi Mu "twin" who lost a battle with ovarian cancer at age 24.

I quickly came to the conclusion that she is an AWESOME girl... I wrote her to tell her about my cousin and good friend who passed away from cancer this summer, and she wrote me back to say that she will be wearing his name on her jersey during the race. I thought that was an amazing thing to do. It means so much to me and my family, and really reminded me of the bond we all share as Phi Mus.

Anyway, I was very impressed by her and I'm glad her chapter is doing so well! You all must be a great bunch of girls

mh*e, I know exactly who you are talking about. She was my Phi Mom's big and is not at all the type of person you would expect to run a marathon. We also walked in honor of her twin at Relay for Life on campus this past year. It's so cool that you met her!

Thanks for the congrats, everyone!!

Congrats!
We just had 18 girls sign bids today. there were a couple of girls who were busy for bid day (work) so we don't know if we have anymore coming, but I heard we gave out 24 bids.
