Re-colonization Question

So we are at the very early stages of a re-colonization attempt at the University of Tulsa.

IFC has voted to consider the expansion process.
The next vote will be on which path to take: Allow Sigma Nu to re-activate, OR the normal expansion route (invite orgs to make presentations).

My question to people that have re-chartered (UCO and NIU in particular), what is a guesstimate on the size of the Alumni group that actually actively helped?

How many did you have involved, on the Alumni board, etc? thanks!

Good luck at TU! I got my masters there and live in town!

We had a couple of alums in our case. Ours was also not a recharter, but a completely new charter (note my single digit badge #). It did help that one of these alums was very active in the UCO alumni association and the other is active with Sigma Nu's national organization.

I would say the more the merrier -- just have some sense of organization. Identify a clear spokesman for the process so that there's no confusion as to your cohesiveness.

Things should be fine. Good luck.

Interesting and good to hear. We have an alumni spokesman who is active with the University. And a good small core of alumni to count on for the heavy lifting, as well as peripheral group (not as involved as the core, but would be there financially if needed).

I was just curious as our chapter has initiated 645 men, but the group I can reach is actually pretty small by comparison.

We shall see.

Good luck. Let me know if there's anything you need.

I've contacted at least one MT brother who is in law school at TU at the moment. He'll be glad to do whatever. He was an important cog in our colony machine and his expertise would prove most valuable to a new colony.
